Hibiscus mutabilis forma plenus update

I was there in the morning to catch this blooming. The same flower will turn from white to light pink and then dark pink before drying up.

I found a couple of dried flowers on the plant too and some of the the stem were already dropping off. My hope for seeds were dashed cos' the flowers don't produce seedpods ... haiz!
My guess is propagation is only by stem cuttings? Anyone can confirm this?

I planted hibiscus this summer, and used dormant roots (I ordered them).I received total 6 roots and planted them; all grew stems and 90% flowered. Maybe if you let them live long enough to multiply, you can probably divide the roots and grow new ones.

Hi Manang
Thanks for your suggestion here.
I'll find out more about using roots to propagate the plant :-)

Hi!

This plant is better propagated using TIP cuttings, that root very well in water.
