Kaffir Lime ( Twice)

A GCS friend pointed out to be that I have two types of kaffir lime in the CG. And I thought that they are the same .... LOL . The one you see in the pic below has very turgid leaves and they are kind of shiny. Upon touching the leaves, there is only a very faint fragrance of the familiar smell. But when the leaves are sliced, the lovely kaffir lime fragrance is realised without a doubt and it can perfume the room in no time. This is the favourite used in cooking nyona curry and they are sold at supermarkets.

This other variety of Kaffir Lime is the Thai Kaffir Lime. Notice the leaves are not as turgid and not as shiny. In fact the leaves feel kind of leafy but the kaffir lime fragrance lingers on your fingers when you touh the leaves. Upon slicing the leaves, the familiar kaffir lime fragrance released into the air is kinda weak when compared the the one above.
