Got this from the Oct.GCS gathering and planted them as a ground cover next to the cucumber vines. Now the CG has four types of sweet potato leaves. These are ornamental sweet potato leaves. Not sure how big the root vege would grow under my neglect or care ... LOL

Tradescantia zebrina
A pot of this plant was given to me by a kind GCS member when she had to leave Singapore for her studies. The plant I received had the leaves cascading about 3-4 feet down. I trimmed them and tried to repot and root them in hanging pots to grow at my landing. However they didn't do well. Some months ago I planted the rest of the cuttings onto the Roselle planter bed as a cover plant. They are growing well and lush under direct sunlight for about 4-6 hours and have alredy covered up the entire planter bed. I think it's about time to trim them down.

Cymbopogon nardus
This is what they look like after about 6 mths of growth in the ground. I dug up a plot and gave some away. They look like the lemon grass plant. However when the stalks are examined the characteristic redness of the stalks show that they are the cymbopogon nardus. Lemon grass stalks are whitish in color.

Jade Bittergourd Update
The vine is bearing fruits. The last time I took a peak at it, I saw this set up .... someone has already laid claim on two of the fruits ... LOL and you know I never cover the fruits this way.
