This plant has been growing over a year now in the CG and recently it had started flowering. Today, when I checked .... I believe I spotted a couple of leguminous pods.

Roselle Harvest and Drink
In one harvest I usually get more the thirty fruits. Many a times, I've given them away.
Sometimes, I will make a drink from this .... that's the easiest thing to do. Boil a pot of water ... I use 2 litres and peel the bracts out of thirty roselle fruits as shown below. Then after the water has boiled turn off the fire and dump the entire fruits together with the peeled calyx. Cover the pot and wait for about 15-20 minutes. The water will turn blood red. The taste is tangy and I like it, so I drink it straight without adding any sugar. It is especially refreshing if it's chilled.

Dried Luffa
A couple of the luffa fruits dried on the vine and this particular one was at least two long rulers long. The amount of seeds I got from the fruit ..... if I plant them could last me a life time but I don't particularly fancy eating luffa for the rest of my life .... once in a long while, it's OK! So anyone wants luffa seeds ?

Pumpkin Harvest
Finally one of the pumpkin vines produced a couple of fruits. The size of the pumpkin was just slightly larger than my fist. When I cut it open I was surprised that the centre was hollow without seeds. On a closer look, still couldn't find any viable seeds. I baked the pumpkin and tried eating the flesh ... it was bland, no sweetness at all ... so unlike those that I buy from the supermarket.
